KS provides SSF for 126 underlying assets (excluding KBANK)
TFEX requirement dated 1 July 2025 indicates a minimum contract of 20, 100, 500 and 1,000 contracts.

Investors are not allowed to hold a net position in SSF contracts referencing any single underlying stock in any given month or across all months combined that exceeds the limit announced by TFEX. This regulation has been effective since November 12, 2014.

Steps for opening and closing SSF Block-Trade positions with KS

  • Investors contact our investment advisors to provide the following information
    • SSF contract series
    • Type of transaction – buy or sell
    • Position to be made – open or close
    • Exercise price
    • Number of contracts

  • The investment advisor will inform the price for the SSF Block-Trade
  • Investor confirms the order with the investment advisor
  • Investment advisor to call the investor to confirm SSF Block-Trade execution

Terms and conditions for SSF Block-Trade with Kasikorn Securities

  • The client must have a derivatives account with Kasikorn Securities
  • Every Block-Trade open with Kasikorn Securities must be close with Kasikorn Securities
  • When a margin call/force close margin arises, investor is required to deposit additional cash to meet the minimum margin:

Initial Margin

Initial margin to open a position

Maintenance Margin

70% of the initial margin, If the margin is below the maintenance margin, a margin call will arise for investor to deposit additional cash to meet the maintenance margin within the morning session of the next day.

Force Margin

30% of the initial margin, If the margin is below the force margin, the investor to deposit additional cash to meet the maintenance margin immediately within the same day.

Investors who are interested in placing Block-Trade orders are advised to deposit cash higher than the contract values to prevent any margin calls or force margin calls.
