Stock Borrower: Investors who expect that stock price will fall but have no stock in the portfolio can borrow stock via SBL service by short selling the stock in securities exchange and buy that stock back to securities company when stock price falls down. Stock borrower will gain profit from the difference between short-selling price and buying-back price.
Stock Lender: Investors who hold intermediate-term or long-term stock can raise their return by lending stock that they have got in the portfolio. Investors will receive annual fee and enable to sell that stock as usual without losing any benefits such as dividend or subscription rights.
